The Mac app

Lift reads text locally using Apple’s Vision framework. It contains no network code, accounts, analytics, crash reporting, or update checks.

The latest 20 reads are kept in memory only and removed when Lift quits. Quitting does not erase text already copied to the system clipboard. A temporary image is created while processing a selection and deleted when that operation finishes; a forced termination or system crash can interrupt cleanup.

Lift stores your language, line-break setting, and login preference locally. Screen Recording access is managed by macOS.

This website

The website uses no analytics, advertising scripts, tracking cookies, external fonts, or signup forms. The interactive demo copies only its sample sentence, and only when you click it.

Cloudflare hosts this website and the download. Visiting it sends ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and request details, to Cloudflare for delivery and security. This is separate from the offline Mac app. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
